Countdown2K was created by Annika Chadha, a Louisville student who saw firsthand that nearly half of children in Jefferson County Public Schools entered kindergarten without the skills they needed. The app's 13 interactive games are aligned with JCPS kindergarten readiness standards, Head Start ELOF, and Common Core Foundations — making it easy for educators to integrate into existing transition-to-kindergarten programs.
As a 2025 Summer Intern at Thrive By 5 Louisville, Annika continues to collaborate with early childhood educators and community organizations across Jefferson County.
